I’ve been following this blog for over a year now and only after our discussion today did I begin to think about it as one of those “innovative explorations of the new medium” which is the internet.

Basically, JJJJound is a bare bones massive dump of photos. The only delineation between posts, if any, is either one word or a short quote. The only description given as to what the blog is about is simply “It’s a who’s who, what’s what type of livin'”

Couldn’t have put it any better. The images are everything from the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen to lavish French Villas to men flashing their guns, bandannas covering their faces while they loom over pounds of pot and stacks of cash.

It just really gets me thinking. The diversity of the images posted and the endless different ways of looking, recording and experiencing what’s going on. Make sure you look at this when you’ve got some time to kill.

I made it to page 2 once.

My brain has just been saturated with images. Noticed some sequence patterns, I think, but lost track somewhere after thirty minutes on page one. This makes me look forward to our tumblr.

yes, a perfect point of inspiration for our tumblr. thanks for sharing, tim.

a number of photographs that made its way into the pile of collage material last week came from my own explorations of found photographs via google image search – see some of the collection here:

i’d love to know if there was any curatorial structure behind the jjjjound site, and where the images might be coming from if not just a random collection of found things. either way, its a trip.
