Walter Wick

12/01/2009

Although his work is unrelated to my concept, I never pass up an opportunity to bring up Walter Wick — the ‘I SPY’ series photographer. His books were a favorite of mine since elementary school, but it took some time to realize what fascinated me about the images. They essentially are physical sets of day dreams, memories, and anything else that isn’t concrete. As a result, anyone with a sense of imagination can relate some memory to his work — which added bonus, also contain some neat illusions, and function as sculpture and performance pieces

Lastly, he is having an exhibition at the Arkell Museum in Canajoharie New York, through February 15th — something to see if you are in that area.
